Connie Bramer has been involved with gymnastics and ballet since 1973. She was a provincial level artistic gymnast and a national stream rhythmic gymnast individually as well as a Senior FIG group member in Germany. Connie participated at international rhythmic gymnastics (RG) competitions, and also at combined Gymnastics and Track & Field National Championships in Germany. She has coached since 1983 – from little toddlers to seniors, and from the first gymnastics steps to national rhythmic athletes in Germany. She particularly loves working with children and has a wealth of knowledge about how best to make them comfortable with movement and activity at the youngest ages.
Her Canadian NCCP coaching certification includes Pre-School Coach Certification, Active Start, Level 1 Trampoline, Level 2 Women Artistic Gymnastics, Level 3 Rhythmic Gymnastics. In addition she is a certified Level 4 instructor for Alixa Sutton Flexibility and is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique. She is an innovative and creative Course Conductor for Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta with a wealth of valuable experience in age-appropriate teaching techniques.
Connie developed the Rainbow Rhythmics Program for Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta, which is now used in schools and gymnastics clubs throughout Canada. Connie has been with the Capital City Gymnastics Centre since February 2006 and has been instrumental to all of our recreational programs, but especially to our RG recreational and competitive programs.
