Competitive and Recreational Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach

June Sasano began her gymnastics career when she was 10 years old with rhythmic gymnastics. She won multiple titles as Provincial champion and represented Alberta 1984 -1988 at Canadian National Championships. Afterwards she performed at her first World Gymnaestrada in Amsterdam 1991 and began her coaching certification. As coach she went with her team to three more World Gymnaestradas in 1995, 1999 and 2003.

June took a break from gymnastics while her 3 children were little, and returned to work with young pre-school children and rhythmic gymnasts. Her Canadian NCCP coaching certification includes NCCP Level 1 Artistic Gymnastics trained, Active Start trained, and Level 2 Rhythmic Gymnastics certified. Since 2015 June coaches recreational artistic and rhythmic gymnastics at our Capital City Gymnastics Centre. She loves helping children to discover new ways of moving and loves watching their confidence grow.

June is the Coach Responsible for our competitive Interclub Team, which offers XCEL and LEAP competition streams with competition opportunities all over the province of Alberta.
